Ultrabase Foundation Panel - Roller Hockey Surface or Synthetic Ice Base

EZ ICE, Inc.

ULTRABASEPANEL

EZ ICE is an authorized and exclusive provider of Ultra Base Foundation Panels.

Ultra Base Foundation Panels are used to create a flat and stable base for synthetic ice or as a surface to play roller hockey on. A great alternative to concrete or asphalt.

Want a roller hockey or synthetic ice rink in your yard but don't want to install a concrete court or take up your garage space? This is a great alternative.

  • Temporary - great if you plan to move (take it with you!) or the installation of large permanent surfaces like concrete or asphalt aren't feasible or allowed.
  • Easy to install
  • Installs on top of flat compacted sand or similar substrate - we've even installed on top of grass to create a deck/roller hockey surface!
  • Depending on the application, it could require the purchase and installation of permeable geotextile fabric as this acts to stabilize the tiles on top of the natural base.

PANEL DIMENSIONS: Actual panel dimension 30” x 30” x 1.25” / 762mm x 762mm x 31.75 mm

SQUARE FOOTAGE AREA ONCE INSTALLED: 28” x 28”x 1.25”/ 711.2mm x 711.2mm x 31.75 mm = 5.44 ft² /.505 m²

PANEL WEIGHT: Average panel weight: 1.86 lbs per sq ft / 9.16 kg per sq m 10.2 lbs / 4.63 kg per panel

Installation Requirements:

  1. For a really firm and perfect playing surface, ground preparation is required including the removal of any organic material and ensuring the ground is flat, properly pitched for drainage, and machine compacted. If you want to quickly and easily create a playing surface in your backyard, we have installed this directly on flat and level lawn in the matter of a couple hours and it worked great - please talk to an EZ ICE Backyard Rink Expert about this application.
  2. Depending on the application, a geotextile fabric could be required to lay down between the ground and the panels to ensure proper functionality
  3. Installation is very similar to preparing the ground for a patio installation - most landscapers are easily able to do this.

Please consult with an EZ ICE Backyard Rink expert before purchasing to ensure your application works.
